My dell latitude E6420 is without webcam

I have bought dell latitude E6420 few months ago, and I was chocked when I discovered that it has no webcam, this issue is so annoying, how can I solve it, I’d like to know if it is possible to integrate a webcam inside it or should I buy an external camera??

@Nadia elsayed  Latitude systems are business-oriented models, so Dell offered (and still offers) the option to order them without built-in webcams.  Some business customers are particularly security-conscious and might even ban laptops with built-in cameras, and other customers might simply not need them and therefore would not want to pay for them.  Many businesses use docking stations, in which case laptops spend most of their time with their lids closed, and in that setup the built-in webcam would be useless.

But the only way to add a built-in webcam would be to replace the entire display assembly with a unit that has a built-in webcam.  I believe the motherboard connector for a webcam is always there, but I'm not 100% about that.  If not, then even if you got a display with a built-in webcam, you might not have a way to connect it.  If you really wanted to consider that option, then I would get the Service Manual for that system from support.dell.com to see where the webcam connector is supposed to be and then confirm that it's available on your actual system before buying a different display assembly.

Otherwise, an external USB webcam is your best bet.

I have the same model with no webcam and want to buy an external webcam. Which one would work well with this laptop?

Thanks!
