new dell latitude without ethernet port

Question

I am working now on choosing laptop model for my company and I found that most of new dell latitude haven't RJ45 ethernet port and it offering WLAN card with WIFI6

I know that WIFI 6 could offer network speed is almost Ethernet LAN but this will required access point support that, which I haven't and using external USB LAN card will not efficient specially for end point users

I would think the opposite, since a USB 3 cable just pulls out -- vs. Ethernet where an errant tug can break the port.

The 7000 series are slim convertibles - not a great recipe for durability.

Look toward the 5000 series -- more robust build and include Ethernet ports.

Most home users will use wireless anyway - the Ethernet is more likely to be used in an educational or workplace setting.

It's not clear exactly which model you're looking at, but most of the Latitude systems do include Ethernet jacks as standard, except for the convertible/tablet models in some cases.

It's becoming more and more common for consumer-grade systems to eliminate the Ethernet jack, but they're still present on most business models.

Which model are you asking about?

Also note that everything now comes with USB 3.x support, so even if the system you want doesn't have an Ethernet jack, you can easily add a USB adapter (after all, there needs to be a cable connected anyway, so they don't add much in the way of inconvenience).

most of new 7000 series haven't ethernet port, I know that I could use usb3 converter for that but I thinks that well not be efficient with end users specially if they take laptop to their home. usb3 cable will not strong as the rj45 ethernet which could possibility to break the port

They took the Ethernet jack out of most of the 5000 series now too so good luck.
