this is a laptop i bought in japan by an intermediary company specializing in shipping goods from japan to vietnam, so it is very difficult to verify the registered owner, and i am trying to do this but no result good results.

The laptop is still under warranty, but I bought it from a laptop store in Japan by a Vietnamese intermediary company, so I don't know the name of the original owner who bought it and I don't have a receipt. sell to verify with dell support

There are lots of useless responses here telling you to return to seller or replace a motherboard. Just go to ebay and search for "8fc8 unlock" to purchase the master password. Only takes minutes. I bought my laptop from the streets with cash and it was locked, so my only option is ebay. Now it is working perfectly after the unlock. Good luck!

@petermuss​ can it work for 5420 latitude also can admin password be removed?
