Problem 4G LTE (DW5811e) DELL E5470

Question

Hello everyone. I have a DELL E5470. So far I have done a lot of research and a lot of problems ... and here we are with the last one (at least hopefully). I bought a DW5811 Snapdragon LTE PCIe card (it is the module to use the mobile connection on the pc). As soon as it is installed, the module is automatically recognized by win10 .... the problem is that when I put the sim in the pc the 'insert sim' item always appears ... as if the pc did not read it. Come on SIM I iliad. Has it happened to any of you? I also did the official test to install the drivers from the site but nothing. Also as regards the characteristics of the module, I have read what should be comaptiblie and among these Vodafone .... but except check iliad and not even wind, three, etc .. But shouldn't all SIMs be good? The frequencies are always the same, at least in Italy and for Italian operators. Isn't that a compatibility issue?Thank you

Dear John,

I faced exactly same problem. Upon digging deep, I found that the tray that holds the sim card is loose. Eventually I had to put a paper underneath the SIM so that SIM card is held tight inside the slot against the metallic contacts and SIM stopped disappearing.

I confirm, problem solved. Two thin papers fold together and inserted under the SIM card. Simple genius idea! Thanks!
