Recently, the spacebar began malfunctioning. When I do a normal keystroke, it will either not work at all, or keep going and create a long string of spaces as if I were holding it down. 

I can get it to stop occasionally by pressing the spacebar (it takes a few times/unpredictable) or pressing the delete/backspace keys. 

Advice on how to fix this? I took the keyboard piece off to see if it was the issue and it still persists even when I press the space button alone.
