Type A USB

Question

Hello, I found a pretty straight forward way to replace a Type A USB on my Latitude 7490. But like many articles on the internet it's useless. It read I would remove screws holding down the bracket. Then remove bad USB and plug in the new one.       After opening the laptop to get at the bracket I was stopped cold. The bracket has NO screws. It appears as though the bracket is soldered to the motherboard? The picture is below. Is there anyone here that can steer me into the correct way to get at the port I need to replace?  Thank you,

Everything is soldered onto the mainboard. De-solder the components in question to remove them.

That said, you're likely going to need a donor board to harvest the replacement from.

That said, replacement mainboards are inexpensive - they start at about $40 on EBay so it likely is simpler to replace the mainboard.
