Upgrade camera on 7480 to IR?
I have about given up on the fingerprint reader on my 7480 and the IR camera face login on my 5580 works great, so I'd like to see if I can upgrade the camera on my 7480 to the IR version. After several phone calls to sales and support, I've gotten nowhere closer to getting a part number. Has anyone else done this? If it matters I've got the 2560x1440 touch screen.

Spoke with Dell, identified the part number, ordered the part, part arrived, doesn't fit, turns out you cant have high resolution screen and IR camera. Now I've got to return the part I ordered.
So, no IR camera, and a terrible fingerprint reader....

Dear @RyanIMS,
i know that your post is almost two years old, but probably you could tell me the part number of the IR cam for the latitude 7480 in detail? - I already spoke with the dell pro support and they told me, that dell doesn’t offer such upgrades of the IR cam in general. My latitude has only the FHD resolution, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

They sent me the part, but it obviously wouldn't fit. Unfortunately, I don't know of any IR camera which will work with the 7480 and 2560x1440 touchscreen.
