What does 'Your service plan has expired' mean?

Question

Hi there, I just installed the app named "SupportAssist" powered by Dell. Although the app's functioning well there's something that distracts me. There is a sentence on top highlighted in red mentioning that my service plan has expired.
And there's a button saying "Contact Dell'. Actually I don't know what that means, but just asking what would happen if my service plan has expired?

Difficult to answer without knowing what model you have, but if the warranty has expired, that would explain it.

And if that's the case, support is on a pay-per-incident basis -- it's not free, as it is under warranty.

In the US, a year extension runs in the $400 range.

@herathgayathrie14​  Yes, because the warranty is free for only one to two or particular for years, afterwards you need to upgraded which cost some. Best regards  Trisha
