What is USB 3.0 Type C ?
Is it a description mistake or a USB Type C downgraded to a maximum data rate of USB 3.0 which is 5 Gbps ?
Just to be clear, I am expecting USB Type C to have at least 10 Gbps bandwidth.

So they are still putting USB 3.0 into the 2019-2020 models? I didn't want to believe that and thought it was a typo. Thank you.

@timsxv There are still laptops being made in 2020 that have at least one USB 2.0 port, not even 3.0. And there are still some brand new systems that have only 10/100 Ethernet rather than Gigabit, even though Dell introduced Gigabit Ethernet on some other laptop lines back in 2003. But as mentioned above, USB-C refers to the physical shape of a connector. The only mandatory data interface on USB-C ports is USB 2.0. Everything else about USB-C -- including USB 3.x Gen 1 (5 Gbps), USB 3.x Gen 2 (10 Gbps), video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode), Thunderbolt 3, USB Power Delivery (in one direction, the other, or both) -- are all optional capabilities, and not all systems with USB-C ports implement all of those, or any of them.

I am unsure what is your point here. USB 3.1 Gen 2 and Gen 2 x 2 protocols are fully backwards compatible with 3.0 (or even 2.0) and there is no excuse for 2020 Latitude Rugged Extreme business laptop to have the outdated 3.0 ports.
Maybe you wanted to mention some budget laptops but it's out of scope at least in this thread, because my question was mainly concerning specific models which prices are quite considerable to have updated technologies included. I wouldn't ask this otherwise.
