Broadcom NIC team on openSUSE 10.2 or SLES 10 (reposted from Networking)
Hello,
Been searching for instructions on how to set it up, closest thing I found was this Dell Power Solutions article from 2003 (Using NIC Teaming to Achieve High Availability on Linux Platforms):
http://www.dell.com/content/topics/global.aspx/power/en/ps1q03_bhutani?c=us&cs=555&l=en&s=biz
however, unable to find the RPMs it mentions. Any recommendations would be most appreciated.. :-)

The solution that ended up working for me was to use bonding and miimon. My openSUSE 10.2 install already included the necessary modules:
# modprobe --list | grep mii
/lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.1-xenpae/kernel/drivers/net/mii.ko
# modprobe --list | grep bonding
/lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.1-xenpae/kernel/drivers/net/bonding/bonding.ko
So all I had to do is follow this article:
http://www.novell.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=3929220&sliceId=SAL_Public&dialogID=12982040&stateId=0%200%2012980214
And it's working like a charm.
