Dell Vostro 1510 in Brazil and using Linux. Questions.

It's the same for me where I live. :(

The only option is to buy the laptop with windows, remove it and install Linux yourself. It is a little annoying paying for an OS you'll never use though...

Slackware, if possible. If not, Ubuntu will be ok. Better than Windows. But, I believe that if Ubuntu runs, Slackware will run too. :)

Yes, I think so, but I have to be sure. Notebook is expensive here, so, I have to get the right notebook. :-)

It is really annoying. I hope Dell starts to sell hardware with Linux in all world, soon. :smileyindifferent:

Until there, I try to get the right hardware and install Linux , but it is difficult if you can not try before buy.

I am trying to find someone, from Dell, to ask them directly, but I still couldn't find a way to ask. In Brazil, they don't know. When I tried a chat with USA Dell, they told me to talk to Dell in Brazil. So, I am still trying. :)
