Any suggestions to disable the Alps touchpad on a Latitude D620? I tried to find the file mentioned in this thread, but I don't see an "etc" file on my C drive.
I've been reduced to taping a piece of cardboard over the touchpad, but it still detects my thumbs
through the cardboard.
etc is a "folder", not a "file";... look for it that way.
(The above is not technically true. Real *nix geeks know that folders/directories are actually a special kind of file, but such knowledge is not going to help you solve your current problem. For now, treat the first sentence in this post as the gospel truth.)
