Disable tapping, scrolling with Synaptics touchpad on Dell laptops
Hi. I truly need to disable tapping and scrolling. Due to an accident, I have a tremor in my hand and it just destroys everything I do. I have only found info on how to disable the touchpad itself. I need the touchpad to work, I just need to turn off tapping and scrolling. Thank you.

You'll edit the same file discussed in that thread to disable scrolling.

(The above is not technically true. Real *nix geeks know that folders/directories are actually a special kind of file, but such knowledge is not going to help you solve your current problem. For now, treat the first sentence in this post as the gospel truth.)
