Starting a vmware VM under ubuntu on a new 9350, there's a message indicating th1

mks.gl.allowBlacklistedDrivers = "TRUE"

in the .vmx file, which does indeed remove the warning messages but results in horrible flickering video with many artifacts in the guest.  Beyond this, internet advice diverges, and I'm reluctant to install random drivers.  Has anybody gotten hardware acceleration in a VM to work in ubuntu 14.04 on the XPS13DE?
