Inspiron G5 15-5587, Linux fan control

Hi, i would like to know if somebody managed to get the fan control working under any linux distro.

Without the fan control my 5587 gets really hot if i use it for a long period of time doing light stuff(not surpassing the any% cpu usage trigger for the fan speed).

I actually tried to get it to work myself but without any results, this new Dell laptops don't use the i8k driver anymore(or any other that i know) so even if i can override the BIOS fan control i can't set the speed in any way.

Thanks in advance,

Tommaso.

https://github.com/jsalatas/plasma-pstate

I personally dont use plasma however after updating bios with fwupd and installing the packages lib-smbios pstate-frequency i as well as manually adjusting permforance settings of cpu's using that page as a reference i was able to set and adjust all the needed controls to do the same thing as windows users are given access to.  feel free to ask me if you have questions regarding any of that
