Inspiron G7 15-7590, Ubuntu fingerprint drivers?

Looking to find out if Dell has or will have any development for the Goodix drivers under Linux. Device on the new G7 15 laptops is a Goodix Fingerprint reader: 27c6:530c Currently cannot find any details, info or code to support this reader as it appears to be only used on the recently released Dell G7 laptops. lsusb output is: Bus 001 Device 004: ID 27c6:530c Device Descriptor: bLength 18 bDescriptorType 1 bcdUSB 2.00 bDeviceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class bDeviceSubClass 0 bDeviceProtocol 0 bMaxPacketSize0 64 idVendor 0x27c6 idProduct 0x530c bcdDevice 1.00 iManufacturer 1 Goodix iProduct 2 FingerPrint iSerial 0 bNumConfigurations 1 Configuration Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 2 wTotalLength 32 bNumInterfaces 1 bConfigurationValue 1 iConfiguration 0 bmAttributes 0xa0 (Bus Powered) Remote Wakeup MaxPower 100mA Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber 0 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 2 bInterfaceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class bInterfaceSubClass 0 bInterfaceProtocol 0 iInterface 0 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x01 EP 1 OUT bmAttributes 2 Transfer Type Bulk Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0040 1x 64 bytes bInterval 0 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x83 EP 3 IN bmAttributes 2 Transfer Type Bulk Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0040 1x 64 bytes bInterval 0 Device Status: 0x0000 (Bus Powered)

I would be very interested to know this as well.  I'm a bit disappointed to find that the fingerprint reader is unsupported (using Ubuntu 19.10).  Surely DELL has the leverage to at least help the community reverse engineer the existing driver?
