Inspiron Mini 10v running Lucid (10.04) Netbook issue

I have Lucid 10.04 running very well on a Mini 10v.  It installs straight out of the box, and works very well.  There has been a slight problem in that a forced disk check on boot up was carried out far too frequently and sometimes caused the boot to freeze at around 71%.  This has been reported as a known issue on the Ubuntu forums (fora?) and the workaround seems to be  to include GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="noapic" in /etc/default/grub  In order to make this edit take effect, you need to do sudo update-grub to make the change appear in /boot/grub/grub.cfg

I am still waiting to see if the problem is cured, but any or all of GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="noapic, nolapic, noacpi" are other possibilities to try.

The problem turned out to be in Plymouth, and has now been fixed. The latest version of Lucid does indeed work 'straight out of the box' on the Inspiron Mini 10v.  IMO it is just fantastic!
