N key does not register when OU or IU are down
I am finding myself mistyping "sound" as "soudn". Turns out that my internal keyboard doesn't register "n" or "m" if "ou" or "iu" are down, external keyboards are fine. This is on a Dell XPS Plus 9320 with Ubuntu 25.10, no X :(. This is such an obscure thing... Anybody any ideas?

This is not a Linux problem, but an XPS problem. Please move back to the XPS section.
In the meantime, I tested this on three additional XPS 9320 laptops at work and they all have the same issue. One running Ubuntu 22.04 (developer edition, original distribution), and the other running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Windows. The issue is present on all laptops and on all OS variants. When O and U are down, N and M do not register. This leads to typos like "soudn" when you type "sound" quickly. It is not an issue with the user hitting the keys in the wrong order, the N just arrives late, because it registers after D which registers while O and U are still mechanically down.
This sounds like a hardware problem for which we all need a fix ASAP.
