Oracle 9i tweak with large memory on RHEL AS 3.0

I have a couple of PowerEdge 6650 wih dual Xeon 2.8MHz CPUs and 16GB memory.

For RHEL AS 2.1, we use shmfs to improve the performance of Oracle 9i.

When we move the RedHat Enterprise AS 3.0, shmfs is not working as it was in RHEL 2.1.

 

I would like to have some inputs from the users or experts here so I can improve the

performance of the Oracle 9i.
