ubuntu 8.04.1 with vista

Question

hi, i hv shrunk my c: drive from 140gb to 130 gb. Then i boot my comp thro 8.04.1 ubuntu. i clicked on install ubuntu. during loading, it showed following errors-

[289.809093 SQUASHFS error Sb_bread failed reading block 0X83CC7

[289.80900 SQUASHFS error Unable to read page, block 20f26668, size b7ae

Run the test to see if the burned cd had errors. If yes, try again with a new download or order a cd from Canonical.

If no...by any chance is this a HP computer that you are trying to install Ubuntu on?

How did you shrink your hard drive?

Well right click on my computer. There is manage icon. Then click on disk management and then storage. Then in the C: drive slot right click and click shrink. Then enter the amount u want to shrink. I have loaded ubuntu by shrinking C; drive by 10gb
