XPS M1710 + Ubuntu 7.10 Compiz Help

Alright so I have an XPS M1710 and I'm booting Ubuntu 7.10 Everything seems to be working fine, but I can't seem to enable all compiz effects, and I know that Gutsy was the first distro to have Compiz bundled. I have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed and they are being recognized (I have a Go 7950GTX), but for some reason I cant find the control panel for Compiz so that I can change up the settings. I mean Wibble, and the Super+Tab "Flip3D" Type thing are both cool, but I want my workspaces on a cube, and I want the Mac like Expose. Oh yea, and if anyone knows where I can get a dock from (Like Mac OS X's or like Stardoc's Object Doc) It would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Cameron

If you want the advanced settings for Compiz Fusion, you would want the compizconfig-settings-manager. To get that, issue this command in the terminal found in Main Menu -> Accessories: sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

You can install the package using Synaptic, but I find that the terminal is just great if you know what you want. Now, to get the dock, here is a link to the howto: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=385981

Thank you so much this is exactly what i was looking for. I ended up getting Kiba-doc instead just because I liked it better. But thanks for everything Cheers Cameron PS: Gutsey is amazing on the M1710, not a flaw yet, unlike feisty which just never worked right no matter what I did
