AGA, X51 & GTX 970
Hi there,
I have an Alienware X51 with an internal GTX 970.
A while ago I tried using a Titan X in the graphics amplifier, but couldn't get it to work.
To ensure there is no driver issues I have taken out my internal GTX 970 (which works fine) and put it in the AGA.
When I boot up I get nothing displayed on any of my screens, not even any boot up / BIOS screens, just nothing.
Do I need to change some settings in the BIOS prior to removing the internal graphics card?
Any help would be appreciated, as I really need to find out if my AGA is broken before its too late to replace.

Quick update, I connected a monitor via HDMI to the integrated graphics port (intel HD) and I get the same error as I was getting with the Titan X:
Unrecognzed device in [caldera]
[caldera] supports NVIDIA or AMD Graphics cards only
I can't see how this will be a driver issue as the GTX 970 that is in the AGA works perfectly inside the computer itself.
When I look in AlienAdrenaline under Graphics Amplifier it says Dock Connected.
Is there something obvious I'm missing?

Hi,
There needs to be a video card in the PC to get the Amplifier to work, so that's the reason why the GTX970 is not working on the AGA.
So, first make sure that you're setting up the amplifier in a proper way by following all the steps on this video: Alienware Graphics Amplifier: Setup - YouTube
Also remember that driver that must be installed on the computer is the GTX970 one, regardless of whether or not the AGA is connected.
This could also be a compatibility issue sometimes, here is a list of the supported video cards on the AGA, reference cards/unmodified cards, we are not saying that non-reference cards will not work, but we can not confirm the functionality, since we can't validate all cards. :
