Alien Ware PC delayed.

Just called support with similar senario. Laptop was supposed to arrive today but was still showing online that it was In Production. Been in this status since 9/25 also. Called for an update. The girl did some digging and found that it was waiting on 3 parts. Said she couldn't interpret the part numbers but would assign a case manager who would also call me within 2 days with an update. Also said she would talk to the build team about expediting the build. We'll see. Seemed like 25 days to build and ship a system was excessive. And seems like someone should update the delivery date estimate when they are having parts problems. Will try to post update hear after I hear back from the case manager.

I ordered an Alienware M17x Soft Touch Nebula Red notebook several weeks ago and when I check order status, which they tell you to do )--I find out the status hasnt changed and I don't think it ever will... ) I have already set up a business account with Lenovo, their laptops come standard with mechanical keyboards and I dont have to mess with those silly snap-in, cheap keys.

You bought a PC with untold number of configurations.  It wasn't sitting on the workshop bench prebuilt and ready to go so I think it's fair to expect a bit of time anddependancy on part availability.

Have patience, I once had to wait 4 1/2 months for my laptop to shipped in 97 from Dell when I was working in MO.

Just ordered my wife a xps8300 on the 9th and was suppose to be here by the 14th got that dreaded delay email today saying maybe by the 19th problem is the agent told me it was in stock and ready to ship. Was supposed to be for the wifes birthday sunday and I was assured Id have it. But this is the third system I have ordered with the same results delayed when I was told it was in stock and ready to ship

Same for me. After a case manager was assigned to followup on my delayed system, the M17R3 shipped the next day. Two days later and am up and running. The first support tech I talked to indicated that there had been a parts supply problem.

good deal!  mine was an r3 too, ordered on the 24th, maybe that means mine won't be too far behind. unless they gave you my part... lol

Holy Crawdads!!  nowadays it would be two generations outdated by the time you got it!!  Did they carve it out of marble or bronze cast the body!!?  Much props too you i would have went nuts on them after a month!  I thought two weeks was being patient when i ordered it, and this second delay is killing me, i just waste bandwith checking my order status every 30 min lol 

I agree teegale, other then being out of stock, theres no reason why AW2310 should be delayed. I guess I was lucky then, as mine shipped out one day after I placed my order. I actually asked the sales rep if they could delay it and ship the monitor with the computer, he said Dell wouldnt do that.
