AlienFX action duration not working properly

Question

This function doesn't seem to work at all. No matter what I set in the action duration, they will always take 3s to complete an action. I've completely uninstall and reinstall Alienware Command Center but it doesn't help.

I've updated to the newest Bios, and installed the newest version of Windows and Alienware Command Center.

Can anyone suggest me a solution?

Can you add a duplicate action to the event to double the time?

Thanks for your help, but what I want is to shorten the action duration. I'd like to set it to 0.5 or 1s but no matter what the setting is, the actual action will always take 3s.

No, that is fine, but can you confirm if you are using Windows 10 and if you are using this version of the Command Center?

Yes I am. Also, previous version didn't work either. In fact, this function never worked at all. I did a factory reset before but nothing changed.

I have exactly the same problem too. It doesn't matter if I put 0,1s; 0,3s... it's locked in 3s or 6s if I choose the extended duration.

Alienware-Rodrigo told me that their engineering department was aware of this and he would send me a fix when it's available. I'll update you once I get it.

I haven't investigated this feature, but when I first got my Aurora-R6, I did notice some missing Alien-FX features (as compared to the old version of Command Center running on my Aurora-R1).

The one I noticed is there is no way to set the color or zones included in the "sleep state". At least the Power Button still slowly strobes on/off (in the default or last assigned color).

Hello, my Alienware 17R4 gtx1070 with tobii also has the same problem, please let me if there is a solution. Sometime, I notice a change in the Alien FX timing from 3s to 0.2s during gaming and i have no idea how it happened.
