AlienFX system tray icon gone and not working
Pretty much as title says.
The icon is simply gone, cant turn it on using the applications and notifications settings, i flip it on and off but it does nothing.
Dell's alienware CC software dating from 10th aug. 2016 :
I had to uninstall and reinstall the latest command center software to even get the FX working in the command center. (app would crash otherwise)
However no, no matter what i do, it keeps reverting to the old light settings everytime i start up the computer again.
Nothing i do changes this, saving a new profile doesnt matter.
I can change the settings, change the colors etc. and save or save as.
Doesnt matter, next time i reboot its back to square one, which was a setting from before i even reinstalled the whole thing so thats weird to begin with.
Note : before i reinstalled and after i uninstalled ofcourse, i was forced to delete all maps and edit the register in order to get FX working again.
All i did was remove all references to alienware command center in the regedit after uninstalling.
It fixed the problem accessing the FX section in the CC, but the icon remains missing as was prior to me changing anything at all. (as this was the whole reason for me bothering to un/reinstall.
I suspect its the latest 1607 windows 10 update. (1 year anniversary update)
My system is the alienware 51-r2 aka the pyramid shaped thing lol.
Any idea how to get this back up and running again?
Alternatively, is there no other way to turn off the LED lights "permanently"? Meaning without using software but just turn them off completely?
Please help, i have no longer any clue how to fix it.
Ps sorry for the lengthy text but i wanted to be thorough.

Icon is mysteriously back on its own, i cant explain this.
