Alienware 15 R2 - display port/thunderbolt 3 question
Trying to use the thunderbolt 3 as an input so i can stream audio/video into my laptop.
If i were traveling, didn't have a TV and had a game system with me, I'd like to be able to use my laptop with it's 4k screen as my monitor.
I've done this with my old mac from 2009 with it's *** display port that only did video, but no issues because i could hook up external speakers. Please tell me i can do it through the thunderbolt 3. The only adapters that I have seen so far have been really expensive, for a cable anyways. Any suggestions?

Hi,
It will work but you will need to install 2 drivers from our website. The TI ThunderBolt Power Delivery Firmware Update Utility here and the Intel ThunderBolt Firmware Update Utility here. But yes, you will need to get an adapter.
