Alienware 17-R2, power button no lighting?
I have this issue where my Alienware 17-R2's power button led wont work anymore. it lights up while running the alienfxtester. but upon a shutdown and restart , still wont work. tried downgrading bios, reinstalling windows, power drain.. everything, no luck. does anyone know the fix? or is it something that dell needs to fix? Best Buy Geek Squad tried fixing the issue for 1 month and in the end they have no idea whats wrong.

Uninstall the AWCC (Alienware Command Center). Reboot the system when done. Reinstall the AWCC. (Windows 7/8.1 or Windows 10). Reboot the system when done. Create a new theme in the AlienFX and assign colors to all 10 zones (including the power button).

I did everything as you said and the power button still won't light up. It ligths up when I run alienware tester. Any other solutions? Please help.

I really doubt that it is a hardware fault. Ask the users out here to see if they have seen this issue.
