Alienware 17 r3 fan
I was wondering for any alienware 17 r3 owner. Where is air ventilated out of the fan? Should I notice air coming out of both of the sides on the backside of the of the computer or just the left. I am trying to determine if both of my fans are functional as the bios test only checks the 'cpu' fan.

one Fan configuration for laptops is not that uncommon. sometimes it's just the heatpipes between components connected to one Fan. that is probably where you can feel the hot air come out.
you can download HWinfo64 if you want. run the App and open "Sensors" menu. scroll down. you should see all Fans somewhere in the list. you can also see the Temps for all components. it shows you Min, Max and Average Temps. additionally you could setup more aggressive Fan Curve if your Laptop gets too hot.
