Alienware 17 R3 questions
I would be greateful if someone could please answer some questions regarding the new alienware 17 r3 just purchased.
1. On the processor page when being ordered it says the processor can go up to 4.1 GHZ, yet having now received it,it only shows as 2.71 GHZ.
2. When going to Devices and Printers and selecting under devices the computer, after clicking on properties it says Model - Alienware 17 R3, however under model number it says Alienware 15 R2. How do you correct this.
3. When using Dell Detect to download drivers it says - Driver detection not available
Please try again later or use the Find it Myself tab to find drivers by Service Tag or see a list of drivers available for your product.
4. How do you turn Bluetooth off? Is there a key combination like there is for turning off wifi.
5. While viewing videos in 1080p doesn't crash, a number of simple website crash the system for a few seconds, even though I have 32 GB ram. I am using edge browser.
6. When going to action center a number of times I have seen airplane mode off, even after disabling it, and having never put it on.
7. How do I fully shut it down, as when I shut down and then start it up again it goes straight to windows login, so I can't e.g. go to the bios.
8. When opening the pc instead of being able to put in my passport straightway, it always goes to some lock screen, which I need to click away. How can I remove this if possible.

Hi,
1. Check Power Options and make sure system is on High Performance. Also in the BIOS (F2) you need to enable the CPU PERFORMANCE in ADVANCE > Performance options (before doing this, make sure the system has the latest Bios version installed, you can look for the driver here)
2. Please check the Main tab in the Bios to verify the model being recognized by the motherboard.
3. For Dell Detect, the website is having issues with this and it has been escalated already.
4. The Function Key for the Bluetooth will be the same as for the Wireless: FN+F2
5. Try with a different browser.
6. This is something that Windows can randomly show, is not an error.
7. Navigate to settings > Select Update & security > Select Recovery from the left menu > Click Restart Now under Advanced startup > Click Troubleshoot > Click Advanced options > Select UEFI Firmware Settings > Click Restart.
(Make sure Hybrid Shutdown is also disable)
8. Check this link to disable the lockscreen:
