Alienware 17R3 not working properly

I have an Alienware 17 R3 which I purchased in November 2015 which worked absolutely perfectly up until November 2016 when I did a clean the drive reset which made the PC very slow so I went into the Bios and edited some options like a forum said , this made my PC extremely slow I can not run my games I have lost all my apps (McAfee) (Steam) I can not plug in the GA because it makes it even slower

I have been without a PC for 3 months and I play Flight sim so I usually play every week and have not been able to.

I have emailed one of the Alienware support assistants and he said he could not do anything.

The past few months have been very stressful and I have had sleepless nights.

I have also tried alienRespawn which did not work.

I have bought 2 USB sticks to return to Factory settings

And Have lost my original respawn location

I am very stuck and just very desperate to get my PC back up and running.

there should be just one ISO file that reinstalls the system back to how it was when it left the factory.

I just want this problem to be fixed.

I just want to have my games back up and running and to have my PC how it was when it left the factory PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi

thanks for replying will the second link install the apps that came with my PC e.g. McAfee Nvidia control panel.

because Alienware support sent me a link to reinstall my operating system but the startup was still slow and I could not use my GA and none of my apps where there I tried installing the apps from dell but they where not provided after I entered my service tag.

Hi,

Looks like you'll need to perform a clean installation of Windows.

Send me a private message with the service tag, so I can assist you further.

Please keep us posted about your issue, Bursey, there's a handful of us with the exact same issue and it would be good to know what's causing the issue.

I'm about to to a clean install of windows, I've been backing up my files for a day, but if your case is any indication, I feel like it won't solve much.

I will definatly keep you posted, dio85, also if you could keep me posted if you find anything out that would be great.

I will send a private message to Alienware-Eimy and see what they say.

If the problem is the motherboard I will probably renew my warranty and send my PC off for repair.

Hi

just an Update I spoke to two people from alienware and they said it was really strange.

So after Four hours on the phone the guy recommended a SSD as it will make the PC faster and he also said that it was common it the Alienware 17R3.
