Have an interesting issue with my Alienware 18 display where it flickers in places , looks washed out, and distorted.

The troubleshooting steps that I have taken thus far:

1.  Plugged into an external monitor and display is fine.

2.  Enabled integrated video and the display is fine.

3.  Made sure that I was up to date with all drivers and bios updates.

4.  Tried disabling and reenabling SLI.

It is very strange because if it was a video card issue, I would have thought that you would get the same display issue on an external monitor.  If it was an LCD or perhaps LCD cable issue, then it should still be a problem when I switch to integrated video.

If someone could provide any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
