Alienware Area-51 2014/2015 8GB
I just ordered the base model with a 970GTX card. My hope is to upgrade the memory to 16GB down the road. I tried to get a straight answer from Dell on the number and size of memory modules it will ship with, but they ended up talking about DDR3 and going on about expandable to 32GB, never answering my question so that was enough for me to move on and post here
Anyone know how it will come? 4 2GB modules or (which I hope) 2 X 4GB modules? I realize there are 4 slots so hoping will be able to just add 2 4GB DDR-4 2133MHZ

As I expected, the order states they are a pair of 4GB modules.

You have 4 Slots to play with in your computer. From experience you will probably get 2x4 or 2 sticks of 4GB each in Dual Channel config.

Most likely it will be a 2 x 4GB, I think it would be wiser for the assembly line to use those since they are more cost-effective.
