Not sure I understand your question... the most the configurator allows is 32GB Quad Channel DDR4 at 2133MHz total. Are you asking what is the maximum an individual RAM slot can handle?
And if your not, well, I'm curious.

Hello all,
32 GB is the maximum RAM that can be purchased at build time; I have read (can't verify this however), that the Area 51 mobo can handle 64 GB RAM, as 4 x 16 GB DDR DIMMS.
The problem is that 16 GB DDR4 DIMMS are expensive.

yeap, as i was thinking to get the normal spec and then plan for future upgrade to performance RAM.
but not sure wat was the RAM Speed (Mhz) that mobo can support. as i contacted dell sales support they also not able to answer me.

I am running a Crucial Ballistix 16GB DDR4 - 2400Mhz kit in my Area 51 R2.
The motherboard will definately support faster speeds. Not sure how high though.

I'm curious. The 2 ram sticks I got with the computer(that I've replaced). What are they called? Brand name? I'm trying to find them on Amazon so I can sell them for more upgrades to my computer. Anyone know this information?

Can anyone elaborate on there ram upgrades? I am considering the corsair dominator platinum 32g 2666 kit. What did you adjust to get it to work? Thanks for your help.

Make sure you have updated your bios to version A03.

I knew enough to check that and it is A03 Somewhere in the forums someone said something about resetting the bios. I believe this means removing the M/B battery and re-installing. I can not locate. Must be behind the two Titan Video cards. Can you confirm this. Thanks for the reply. I am a newbie in forums procedure.

I bought the ram two sets different speeds MHz. Neither worked. Computer would not even get as far as the BSOD. Just blackscreen. I returned tho Newegg one set and gave the other set to my computer store owner. Thanks for your reply. Found out later that MB would not upgrade.
