Alienware Aurora R4 loading issue.
Hello and good evening. I come to this board as I've little options available to me where I am currently stationed. I recently purchased a NVIDA GTX 960 from newegg, and went to install it today. Install went clean, no issues, and sat in properly. The issue began when I booted it up. After booting, I get to the bios screen (A3) and then it sits there. It makes the boot-up beeping sound about 2-3 times, before going to a completely black screen. CTRL + ALT + DEL still work, but other than that, it just sits there.
So, with that not working, I figured I would replace the card with my old one (GTX 555), and find a different route to work with. However, upon reinstalling my old card, the bios screen goes by almost entirely, and I get a black screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left corner. From what I've read around the internet, it seems to be a bios updating issue. I have a secondary computer so that I can create boot flashes if need be, but I wanted to clear a few things before I even begin on this mission.
First, I am not totally computer illiterate, but I am not that incredibly well-versed either. If this is indeed a bios issue, I'm not too entirely sure on what I need to do in order to fix it.
I'm currently at work right now, so I am away from the system itself. If anyone could provide me with any sort of help or advice, I'd be deeply appreciative.

With the original GTX-555 card installed, try un-plugging and dissipating all power (press power button a few times).
Also, try going into BIOS, write down settings, and then resetting to Defaults.
Finally, try booting into Windows SafeMode instead and look for problems.

After a brief jaunt to my room, I did exactly as you said, and it booted up just fine. Thank you very much. My only other issue I believe now is tackling the upgrading of the BIOS to suit the new hardware. I'm under the impression it's a fairly simple process, but as I've stated before, as I'm not illiterate, I'm not ENTIRELY competant.

Negative, I am not under warrenty. However, after updating to A5, then to A11, my video card is running smoothly. A little bit of load time issues, but I think with a few additional updates, those will fade.
Thank you very much Tesla, I really appreciate the help you've given.
