Alienware M14x-R2, FPS Drop
Hello,
I bought an Alienware M14x R2 about 6 months ago. At the beginning all was working fine, really fine. However, from a couple months ago until now I am not able to play in the same way. I am getting FPS drop on every game that I play. What should I do? I simply don't know. I followed the both links below but nothing worked. Thank for any help.

Hello Kirov,
Check the temperatures on your GPU, this article explains how:
Alienware Laptops: Computer Overheats, Shuts Down When Running Intensive Applications
There could also be a program running on the background, affecting the performance of your system, so perform a clean boot and test the system.
Perform a clean startup to determine whether background programs are interfering with your game or program
Let me know how it goes.

If system has Optimus or Hybrid video cards, be sure Crysis3 is using dedicated video card (and not the minimalistic on-board one).

Hi, I am also having the same problem, few months ago i was playing Crysis 3 in Ultra settings and now I can't even run it in medium. I checked the temperature levels and everything seems normal. i even performed a clean installation of windows. Nothing seems to fix it. Any kind of help regarding this issue would be welcomed.

Hi Dhaval,
Have you tried updating the video card driver? This article suggests to use the ones provided on our drivers and downloads page but you could try using the latest provided by the video card's manufacturer.
Let me know how it goes.

Both Intel's and Nvidia's Drivers are up to date. They haven't made any change yet. I am not able to figure out what the problem is.

Same here. Crysis 3 I was getting huge lag spikes on high itself. recently im even getting spikes in dota2 and starcraft 2. The huge lag spikes are occurring in grid 2 on high settings. BTW I upgraded to windows 8.

Hi Bharat,
Have you check this article?
Also, you should check CPU and GPU temps with CPU HW Monitor; this could be an overheating problem.
