Alienware M14xR2 SSD RAID and windows fast boot doesn't work
Hello guys, I have recently bought an alienware m14xr2 and i am hardware technician, i telling u this because i haved made some modification to my laptop, i replaced the msata 128Gb with 256, i removed the cd-rom and replaced it with another ssd of 512, and on harddrive i replaced it with a 256 ssd, now the problem is like this: in bios i set sata as raid, in raid controller i created a raid between msata and the ssd that replaced the hard disk so both of 256gb, what ever i do on bios setup on boot the name of the raid doesn't show at all which it aint good because it has to show there and select to boot from it, when i choose uefi boot mode doenst see any device except network, all i wanna do is to use raid on Windows 8 with fast boot settings on uefi and its impossible for me atm, i have no idea what i made at some point when the bios setup have see'n my raid name on booting list , isn't it odd in uefi mode not see any devices at all? no stick no cd nothing?
To mention i have the latest bios A11 and is still sux, can dell finally release a good bios version, even if im doing something wrong its way to complicated to enable fast boot and even to work or maybe it doesn't work for anyone or i don't know, i have searched the web and nothing about it.

Not sure what you problem is ... but SSD doesn't need a mSata cache RAID.
Also, mSata is usually slower than recent model conventional SSD.

I dont want msata cache i want to be able to make a raid between mSata and the ssd from the hard drive, i created raid in intel raid bios but the bios itself does not see the raid itself, when u create a raid and u name it in bios setup it has to see the raid with the name given, so my real problem is that bios cant see my raid which is done between msata ssd 256 and the ssd from the hard bay a ssd 256, speed of msata its very big even than of some conventional ssd.
My second problem is that when i set on UEFI boot it doesnt any devive at all except for network, so because of that i cant use windows 8 fast boot.
partions on the raid are converted to GPT, i have the lat bios version A11
details more on system, 16gb, msata is samsung pm830, the other 256gb ssd is an liteon, and the 512 C400 micron, proc i7 3840.
other than that i dont know what other details to give.
