Alienware M15X laptop performance issues
In the past week, I've noticed significant performance slowdown with my M15X Alienware Laptop, especially with games such as Diablo 3 and EVE Online which a week ago played fine but now are virtually unplayable. I've run antivirus and malware scans and have cleared some 20 gigs of hard drive space (and have also checked for defrag and "bad sector" issues), but the performance issues still persist.
Has anybody here experienced something similar? Any tips or suggestions?
It's been suggested that I dust my comp. Is there a proper way to dust out an alienware laptop?
Thanks for listening and for any help,
Nick

Hi Nick,
The system may be overheating, check out this article.
That article explains how to dust out the system, you can even open up the bottom cover and clean it up.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Kalveitt, my "stealth" mode was indeed enabled. (I didn't even know this existed; must have enabled it by accident).
I appreciate the help!
