Alienware mx11 r3 Gaming issue
sup all i have never really used this before but hopefully someone out there know's whats goin on with my machine....
ok i shall get straight to it for some bizzare reason whenever i play any games on my alienware (skyrim, Gta4 and guild wars) it runs fine for round about 20 mins ish but for some reason a weird noise starts happening in the bottom left of my machine (near the mouse touch pad) and when it starts making tht noise the performance really drops but if i quit the game and restart it, it runs fine for another 20 is mins. I have updated the BIOS etc but no success, also ran the Alienware PC checkup but everything is fine. Also on the rare occasion it also makes tht noise when watchin vids on youtube. And from what i can gather the noise isn't coming from the speakers. And the noise sounds abit like jumpy static you would get from a a tv channel tht is'nt tuned in..... please help :(

* Be sure the AC adapter is plugged in
* Open the Nvidia Control Panel
* Select Manage 3D Settings
* Under the Global Settings tab, select High Performance Nvidia processor
* Click Apply
* Close the Nvidia Control Panel
* Run the Nvidia Optimus Test Tool http://dell.to/Mttqlb
* Test some games
* If still no go, follow the correct video driver install/uninstall procedure http://dell.to/LcnPvc

*touches wood* i think its worked the noise seems to have stopped for the time being, but i shall keep my ears open incase it happens again. Thankyou for helpin :)

maybe i jinxed it but after playing skyrim the performance dropped and the noise happened after 15 mins of playing after i did the suggestions done by Chris. so once again help would be appreciated :)

Had the exact same problem years ago, update your sound drivers! Worked for me, last time this happened to me was with an early version of soundblaster 5.0 or something.
