Hello,

Does the system shut down completely or does it restart? Look for a program in your system called "SupportAssist", also known as Alien Autopsy. If you do not have it installed, click here for the download link. This is a system check tool that has several different tests that you can run on different components.

When a computer shuts down completely, this could indicate a possible overheating issue. Try running a video card stress test using the support assist program. Click on the "Checkup" option first, then look for the discrete video card (AMD or Nvidia), click on it and choose the stress test option.  The stress test will display the video card temperature. Let us know what it shows.

Thanks. Yes, the system just shuts down about after 15 seconds into the rendering (either maxwell render or Vray). No restart occurred.

I have done the stress test. Following is the result:

Hello,

Thank you for confirming this. It appears your system is experiencing an overheating problem, possibly with the video card. If your system is still in warranty, please send me a PM with your service tag for further assistance.
