Alienware Warranty
Hi,
In the end of December 2015 I've bought an Alienware 17 R3 laptop. I got it from a random guy who sells new laptops, phones etc. Mine was delivered from USA and was on a warranty, which I checked on the day of purchase. However, I did not notice that the warranty was not international (how he told me), but American only. Recently I've got a problem with my laptop: it just stopped turning on. I tried booting it without battery, but the problem is not there.
Anyway, I contacted Dutch Dell Support (I am from Ukraine, laptop was bought there, but I study in the Netherlands) and found out that my warranty is American. Moreover, I discovered that my warranty might be transfered to Dutch one. Unfortunately, person who sold me computer refused to help me with the name of a guy who bought it in USA (this information is required for transfer), so I have useless warranty and broken Alienware.
The only way out for me is probably paid service, but this post is kind of last hope. I would be grateful for any information about possible solutions or support from Dell. Thank you in advance.
