AlienWare X51 R2 Having problem when trying to restart PC
Hi Guys,
I recently bought Alienware X51 R2 (2nd hand) with i5 4690 and GTX 1070 and 8GB Ram and I'm experiencing small problem only when trying to restart windows etc.
So when Pc is off and I power it on then X51 start normally without any issues, benchmarks run well, temp are normal etc. In case when I'm trying to restart PC from windows menu then Pc Is going off and can't restart , CPU fan is going on full speed and I'm having only Black screen until I unplug it from the power brick.
It's not windows issue as even during windows installation when is about to restart Pc can't power ON if not disconnected from PSU , once plugged in again its working fine.
I tried without GTX gpu with intel and same no differents, bios has been updated to the latest one A10 as same problem I was experiencing on A09.

yes, i have been trying on both GPU's intel and GTX same problem, i thought to downgrade bios but i don't think it will help.

Hi,
Does it also happen when you plug in your monitor to the top HDMI port (around the USB ports on the back)?

Ok, and do you do by any chance have another video card that you can test with the system to confirm if the same thing happens? We do not support the GTX 1070 with this system, perhaps you can test the original video card that came with the system if you still have it.
