Aurora R3 UEFI Capable?
Is the Aurora R3 UEFI capable?
I see an option to boot from a UEFI hard drive in the boot up list.
I have done a search here and on the internet but could not find anything applicable about the R3.
I have a 3TB hard drive that I would like to use as the boot drive. As I understand it, the motherboard must have a UEFI BIOS. I am running W7 Ultimate 64 bit.
The system recognizes the 3TB drive as disk 1 and shows it as a basic disk with 2794.39GB. Properties show its Partition Style as GUID Partition Table (GPT).

The fact that it is an option in the Boot menu must mean that it is capable, but, if you do not see the option on boot to press F11, then the UEFI Boot Manager is not resident on the system.

Thanks for the reply, Chris.
Interestingly, the UEFI option does not now show up when using F12 to select the boot up divice (did you meant F12 in your reply vice F11?).
When I look in the setup menu, I see as the 7th possibility "UEFI device".
In order to get the system to booth from the new 3TB drive, do you think should I use the W7 Ultimate disk that came with system and install the operating system onto the 3TB driveand then make it the 1st choice for booting?
