Aurora R4 - Won't boot after installing BIOS A07

I just bought a Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 to replace the 555 that came with my Aurora but couldn't get it to start up at all. After looking up and trying several solutions with no luck, someone suggested that outdated BIOS were the most likely cause. I've been running A03 since I got the machine and didn't even know about BIOS updates until now.

Updating A03 to A05 seemed to work just fine, so thinking nothing of it I went straight to A07. But instead of my computer restarting, it just shut off. Now when I start it up it just keeps cycling through a stop error restart loop. It does the same thing when I try to start in safe mode.

I've tried to launch the startup repair, but it gives the message: "This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair."

I don't even know where to begin at attempting to fix this. I've found a few posts on similar problems, but no solutions so far.

Have you checked that its trying to boot from the correct hard drive ?  Mine has done this a few times aswell after updating the bios and it simply reset the boot device order and it was trying to boot from the wrong HD.

Hi Ethaes,

Checkout this article; it should help you with your current problem. Also, there's a link within that article called Alienware Desktops No Post Troubleshooting.

Let me know how it goes.

When the issue was just getting the new video card to work it was giving the no post beeps, but after the BIOS update it only gives the option to either run the system repair, which doesn't work, or boot up normally, which leads to a quick bluescreen before restarting itself. I have my older video card in the machine now.

I've tried switching the boot mode from UEFI to Legacy, which just leads to it saying:

"Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

The normal setup is boot mode UEFI and SATA Operation RAID. Try that and let us know how it goes.
