Aurora-R5, ship date?
So I just placed an order for the Aurora tonight! (First Gaming PC,super excited) and I had a delivery date of July 1st-July 7th which was cool with me. I had to call into dell for a question about my order and the agent told me that none of the orders are shipping now and that they will ALL ship towards the end of next month. Is this true? I only see the GTX 1080 cards showing a long shiping time,I told him I got the GTX 980 and not the 1080 and he said it didnt matter that none are shipping at this time. Ive tried to look online and cant find anything. Any help? Thanks so much!

Waternut, your best bet Is the 1070, even if you had to wait for it. Normally, I'd order the base / included 950, buy my 1070 elsewhere (Nvidia.com EVGA.com etc), keep the 950 for test / spare or sell it, install 1070 myself. The point is, the 1070 Pascal is $50 less on the sales page & yet way better then that old 980 Maxwell. Help? Research 980 vs 1070, which will probably induce you to cancel the order, place a new one. If you have to wait, wait for something good. Do what's best for you. That's what I have to share, what my gut told me to tell you. I'm chiming in once & bailing out of your thread for good, just so u know ...
this is a hit n' run waternut ... be a 1070nut ...

I ordered June 22 and my ship date is August 5...no idea what the delay is but it's for everything as best I can tell.

I'm sure friends just be a little patient and decide where you are going to set up the computer on the table and what games you will play on it in the meantime ;)
The Aurora R5 will be well worth the wait :D

Hey I ordered mine on the 15th as well hopefully mine will get shipped in the next couple days, estimated delivery was for the 6th of July. Fingers crossed can't wait for my aurora. Bought a gaming mouse and keyboard and a new monitor everything's arrived already just waiting on the computer now :/
