Blinking yellow lights. help.
I recently received an Alienware alpha i5 model for Christmas and on the day it was great it worked perfectly and all I wanted to do on there worked fine. But after the first day when I go to power it on the alpha led on the front (aliens head) proceeds to blink 5 times on a loop. Anyone know what 5 flashes means and if I have to send it to get repaired?

Hi,
The 5 blinks could indicate a failure in the CMOS battery or possibly the motherboard. Try doing a power drain, follow the steps below to do a power drain.

Having same issue for second time. Was able to get it to work last time. Only have had it for less then two months.

Doing it again after being serviced in July. Very concerned because warranty is almost up and same issue from the first day we got it. We have done the above fix but we shouldn't have to every time we turn it off.
