BluRay Drive Installation - X51
Does anyone know what model the BluRay drive offered in the X51 machines is?
I originally just opted for a standard DVD drive but wish to upgrade now. If I'm unable to get my hands on the exact one, what would I be looking for when searching for one (other than it being a slot loader).
I'm not too sure on the size that I'm looking for and one other thing is puzzling me; how does the eject button work on the X51? Does it physically push the eject button on the drive or is it... electrical (if that's even the right term).
Thanks, Mike.

Hi Evesy,
Dell Alienware X51 computer can be upgradable to any Blu-ray drive which can fit into a 5.25 inch drive bays. The part # for the drive is “FJ8W4”.
In the above picture, Button number 2 denotes the eject button for CD/DVD/BD from drive. You may also want to follow the below steps:
(1) Click on start
(2) Select computer.
(3) Right click on the drive that is corresponding to the CD.
(4) Click on eject button
(5) The CD will get ejected.

I also highly suggest you download Cyberlink Power DVD from My Dell Downloads( just google the site). That will be the software to use to play your Blu-rays. If not, you will have to buy a blu-ray encoder

And I can suggest you to send us an e-mail to AlienwareUpgrades@dell.com to provide you with the most accurate one that will fit in there.
