Brand New M15x Preformance Issues
Hello, excuse my terms and other tech related idiocracies.
I just unboxed a brand new M15x and installed all my protection software and to games, being Age of Conan and League of Legends. I did one GPU driver update which i belived to be the correct one. So with the above completeled I tried both Age of Conan and League of Legends. Both the same result, they had terrible preformance and horrid lag. I have the i7 quad and the 260GTX cpu and gpu, I thought your M15X comes ready to go so and have been so busy before I took time to look into everything myself, if mabe someone had a solution.
Thank You.

Hi,
I also had the same issue with my new M15x while playing BF2 Bad Company, after a lot of messing about i realised that i had inadvertently turned on the Stealth Mode. There's nothing on the desk top to tell you its selected, i had to play about to work out what was on and off when the switch was activated and the icon momentarily appeared. Another thing i found was the CPU cooling options, if you have passive set i believe it turns down the CPU and maybe the GPU clocks rather than increase fan speed. The manual and help give little information on whats actually been changed with these setting, a noob like me could get really messed up.
Another thing i noticed was the game performance was reduced when the mains AC adapter was trying to run the laptop and charge the battery. game was full of lag on line and in single player mode, if i wait for the battery to complete charging its smooth. i have the larger battery option and am starting to wonder if the 150W PSU has enough grunt to run both.
I'm no hardware guru, these are just my observations based on the issues i've had.
i7-720QM CPU
GTX260M Graphics Card
9cell battery
4G DDR3

I had the same issue and I have the exact same configs as cobbie911...but i realized that it was the stealth mode that was causing the gaming lag....
once turned off, no matter which game I threw at my M15X, it ran smoothly without any hiccups.....with all the settings turned to MAX.....except for the case of crysis warhead...which runs at medium settings at around 40 fps !!!
Love to play MW2 on this gaming rig......it runs like crazy at full settings !!!

What are the steps you used to disable Stealth Mode and CPU passive?
