Does anyone else feel cheated with the Aurora?
So I stupidly purchased the Aurora-R5 the second it was available in the UK, with the base CPU and GPU because I was planning to move my 1080 and 6700k into the new machine, only to find that the base model doesn't come with the liquid cooler. Iv'e spoke with the service reps and they have told me that I am out of luck, that the liquid cooler isn't standard. This in contrary to all the marketing and even my invoice says "high performance liquid cooling".
So I'm bummed. I contacted Dell to ask if I could buy the cooler and fit it myself only to be told that its £90 plus an onsite visit. That's another £102 on top. I asked for just the module and they refused to send it or give me a part number. A total scam.
I've just noticed the sticky at the top that appears to apologies for the confusion but that's not really enough. I think i have grounds for reporting Dell to the Trading standards. Anyone else get bitten by this?

But yeah, I am fairly disappointed the base model with the cheapest cpu and psu doesn't come with it - it's hard to cool the 6700k with the stock cooler.

You could get a cheaper 60 dollar corsair radiator and fit it yourself, I mean, you just need to remove the top fan, and replace the plug. That's it.

this isnt a solution, one, its not so cheap in the UK, two i shouldn't have to as its advertised as liquid cooled, and thirdly, from other posts on the forum you get a pump failure warning on every boot that you have to skip in the bios. not a solution

Agreed fully, this was misleading advertising and I had the exact same issue. I ultimately ended up putting a Corsair H60 in mine, no pump failure warnings for me though (followed Corsair instructions, pump connected to Top Fan, and radiator fan connected to CPU Fan).
The other thing you'll want to consider is the power supply. Check to see if you have an 80+ one, if not you may have one of the cheap supplies which will be comically loud with an i7 and 1080. I actually bought mine with the i7 and 1080 (over $2000) so no excuses from them regarding upgrading beyond the capabilities of the supply, they built it like this.
