duel hard drives

Typically, the operating system is on a smaller driver. All of the data you install should be on the non-operating system larger drive.

* No. When you install any software, you must direct it to the drive you want it to go to.

* At the top under Programs, click System Information
* Open Components- Storage- Drives

Two drives both 256 ssd. Seems small when disk drives are up to 1 to 1.5 t now but my old computer only had 500meg and I never did use that much. Im just worried that I"ll fill up the first drive fast.

Yes disk drives are larger such as 1Tb and 2tb. A sort of pin physically writes data to the harddrive. These are very big with allot of space yes, but they are louder, slower and use more power than SSD's.

SSD drives have no moving parts, so they are very quiet and use less power. The main difference is the speed, SSD's are WAY faster than regular hard drives. The only negative to them is they dont hold as much data and there expensive. If you need more space you can upgrade to a higher capacity SSD or simply buy a third to go along with your 2.
