Failed Bios Update - Alienware Aurora - A10 to A11
Hi,
i tried to update the bios in my alienware aurora from version a10 to version a11 from the dell website.
i ran the installer and the computer shut down after about 30 seconds.
now the computer wont start, the power supply unit works fine, the fans and light turn on but the alienware logo wont appear and the pc doesnt even go into the bios.
is there a way to flash the bios when the actual bios is corrupted and you can't go in it to make the computer boot from a cd?

Greetings mike88e,
It appears that the bios mis-flashed, and the only way to resolve the issue is by replacing the motherboard. I would recommend calling support to verify.
Edit: The only A11 bios update is for the ALX version of the Aurora. Use your service tag to make sure that you didn't choose the wrong the bios update.

The File Library has both the Aurora and the Aurora ALX on the same page

. Under Compatibility for A11 and A10 it list, "Alienware Desktop Aurora/Aurora ALX".

I am having the same problem as mike88e. I downloaded the A11 Bios and now I can't turn my computer on (same symptoms as mike88e as well).

I am having the same exact problem, and started a conversation with you, sending the requested info. What is the best way to handle this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
